I'm new to this photography lark - but when I saw this image in the English Lake's I wanted to capture it.
The result was very poor as you can see. Any tips on how I could have created a good image given the darkness and the high reflectiveness of the foreground subject?

What camera and what post-processing did you do? Can you provide a link to truly original file, untouched by human hands? :)

It was taken before I purchased my 330 and I had borrowed the camera, but I think it was called a L'Esigon (?) cheap and cheerful.
I don't know how to provide that link - I have the origial jpg on my harddrive and that is it.
Cheers

Ah... I was thinking cheap and cheerful. Didn't look like a G2 shot at all. :)
If you want to email it to me, I'll be happy to take a look, but you may have done all you can with it. I'll let you decide.
Cheers,
Don
