Kingfisher

I finally got a picture of the Kingfisher that was something other than a blue, out of focus blob. Interesting seeing how he ate the fish he had just captured. First he banged it over and over on the railing he was sitting on, then bottoms up.

He has a big fish. Good capture, but wish you were closer.

Me too. As it was, he was approximately 150 feet away from me in the shot. The shot was done with the 100-400 IS handheld. I was just happy that I got him at all and you could see what it was.:D

congratulations! I think maybe that fish slowed him down a bit.
The one I had an eye on this morning waited until I was ready to shoot, and then gave me the raspberry and flew off.

Here is what I saw. the 100-400 was extended all the way out. Sure wish I could have gotten closer, but no way.
