So i had the opportunity to go a shoot this event with a group of photographers, so i jump on it. It was an open track day at California Speedway in Fontana California. We were able to move all through out the infield all day as long as we were behind the K walls. Never panned motor sports so this was my very first motor sport event. I did however pan at the Red Bull Air Race. Anyways on to the photos. I started off @ 1/80 then attempted to drop down to 1/40 which caused me to get a lot mot blurry shots. I need to practe at a lower shutter. All shots taken in M mode.

Please C&C is highly welcome good or bad.

Thanks

Sevan

Nice shots! Looks like you shouldn't have too much of a problem if you decided to pursue motorsport photography. I love the car in #5. #2 is a really cool shot, but is a little too tight on the right.

If you don't mind, what's the story behind the group of photographers you were with? I live about an hour outside of Fontana, and would have loved an opportunity like that. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I like #2 as well. As for the group, it was created from the FM forum, for local socal members. fmsocal. It is a nice network or people.

#2 as well - as was stated, I'd like to see a little more to the right.

As a car guy, there was some very cool dynamics with the older 911 in sharp focus, and the newer one oof. Not sure non-car-folk would pick up on it though.

I will keep that in mind next time im out panning. Gonna try to capture more back ground, then focus on the car(s). But im getting the hang of it slowly.
