Hey, I have to take a couple of photos for my class. The subject is "The Beginning of the End", please help me out guys, I'm clueless as to what to take pictures of. I was thinking of:

Sunset or Sunrise??
Rose with a pedal on the floor??
Crack in something?

I don't know, I tried searching for some pics, but Failed. Please, some of you professionals out there, give me some advice. :D

Thanks again
John

Those sound fine. Bug with a foot about to step on it, apple with a worm in it, etc. You've got the idea. Now just try them all, and see what strikes you most.

I don't have any worms or almost finished tequilla bottles....Maybe a glass of milk with a bitten cookie and some crumbs. There are many ideas, its just really hard trying to get a good picture, my camera and the lighting now BLOW! I'm pretty sure with the foggy/cloudy weather here in CA, tomorrow mornings sunrise might be decent, I'll try to take some pics of that from the top of the hill at school. Man, last minute is not good :(

The beginning to the end is at the forefront and rear of the picture you take, and may be you'd like to set your exposure comp a third back.Good luck.

The beginning of the end? Simple. Shoot the butt crack of a plumber.

Or:
A "Hillary 2008" bumper sticker.
A "Romney 2008" bumper sticker.
A worn rope being pulled taut. The worn part should have threads snapped out.
A match being set to a marriage certificate.

I really like the sunset idea (although I'll bet lots of others will do it). If you catch it before the sun goes completely down, it will be the beginning of the end of the day. Good luck!

Good Idea's. I REALLY like the idea of the rope being pulled apart, that would make a great macro! Maybe also a dried up leaf on the floor. I'll take all of them tonight. Thanks again.

Hillary 2008 :D Lmao.

Or the Gas Prices :(

It's Fall. Take a photo of a yellow leaf still on a tree. A nice macro with tons of bokeh.

Know anyone with a baby? A baby is a new beginning and is also the end of the selfish stage of life. hopefully I mean.

Suicide photos.

First person perspective of a person sitting in a tub filled with water holding a toaster over the water. You'll need a wide enough lens to do this one. Make sure the cord is NOT plugged in. make sure the end of the cord goes outside of the frame. Maybe you could have the water running, too.

First person perspective of someone stepping off of a high building.

First person perspective of someone stringing a noose from a rafter.

First person perspective of someone filling their palm with numerous pain pills. Be sure the prescription name is in the frame. Also, just out of focus and in the background, you see a bottle of tequilla.

You get the idea.

Carve a scared face into a pumpkin. Take a photo featuring the pumpkin with your hand coming to it with the knife. The effect is to have the helpless and scared pumpkin looking at your knife as your knife-wielding hand approachs.

Maybe you can do MOST of the carving and have the remaining uncarved eye drawn with crayon.

Oh! One pumpkin already carved with a sad forlorn face. The second has a scared look drawn onto the pumpkin. The eyes of that sad look are staring at the carving blade.

Dude...I'm not taking a pic of people holding knives of people in the bathtubs holding toasters, thats just stupid and random imo. I really like the First Person Perspective of one foot on the cliff and another off about to commit suicide or something, but that would kinda suck if I lost balance.

Ukuleleman, dude, Rose...has pedals on, I mean like...one of the rose pedals...like near it/behind it, so it looks like the flower is dying.....if it's not called a pedal, sorry.

LOL. Bill I think you should seek some professional help. However, I love your ideas. I may have to try a couple of those.

JDM, I think your original ideas may be better suited for your class. Bill's suggestions may have you committed....

I Think I might take a pic of a leaf on the floor, since Fall time. Then maybe a rope about to rip if I can find one, and sunset.
Thanks for everything else though, I'll try to post aswell :D

Get a very old man to sit near a grave, (*praying, paying respect, remembering, anything peaceful*), put in fresh flowers, give it a serene look and a knowing smile on old mans face (that will be hard to get if he gets the idea)

You can try silhouette too if you can not find an old man.

Note to self: No more Vodka

Crack in something? How about that? Use an extreme wide angle very close so you include the tip of the tail, too. :D

Turning it down with an insult? Oh, yes, I see. 28 posts. That'll teach me to try and help the new people. Good luck with the assignment and the whole "making friends on the Internet" thing.

Hey, I'm sorry if I insulted you in anyway. I apologize. I didn't mean to do that. It's just that was an intense picture to capture. But here is a photo of a Sunset, very fast editing so it still needs some work.
Thanks
John
