I am looking into a possibility to sell my photographs, and was wondering how I can confirm the sharpness of a photography. Is there a technic and/or standard for sharpness? Relying on overall visual may be subjective, I think.
For example, How do magazine publishers check for sharpness of a photo? Thanks

publishers just look at it. you can tell if it's sharp enough. different criteria for diff applications. they usually ask for a big file, look at it at full resolution, and give you the old "yea or nea".

Get your self a lupe and take a close look at your prints. Thats what we used to do with negs, prints are a little harder but you can do it.
