Convert to sRgb before you post images - in Adobe RGB it looks good. Stick with sRgb for everything if you have color management problems, it's the default jpg color space.

Yeah kinda, Ive been waiting for some prints to come in from mpix. Got them the other day...liked them...so Im going to go with them for a lil while. Then I need to talk to a friend that can design my website for me, put my touch on the site. Hiya 'Manda, The skies were absolutely clear today! So typical I was under a ramp fixing things and getting oily, when I could've easily been out and about taking pics up north today! :( I think it's the last bit of cloudless sky we're going to have this year :( (aside from tomorrow, fingers crossed).

Yeah. For me if it's a work week I leave when it's dark and get home when it's dark (see the clouds at lunch)... unless working nights then I sleep when it's light out.

Hey there ninja-poo, glad the car is all fixed up. We (well my gf) got the snow tires put on the smart car today, it's looks beefier now with them on.

Haha... Have you seen that Monster Truck Smart Car? It's got like a 6litre engine or something silly, but only does 30mph! Looks awesome though, oh and the tyres are about 6ft high... (not the type i'm guessing you put on?) Sorry to sound completely daft, but are you guys expecting alot of snow?

The best we get over here is ice... and a majority of the time it's black ice.

Yeah I've seen vids on YouTube of the monster truck... wait maybe only pics online of the monster truck one but vids of the souped up one.

I can say yes to the a lot of snow question. I'll say by end of winter there'll be approx 3-5 feet on the ground (that didn't melt/go away etc) with total accumulation probably a bit higher than that. They are calling for 3-8cm next week (I think Tues or Wed) but that will all probably melt.

I love snow, wish we got more of it here! Last time I remember any was when I was at University (2001) we got about 5 inches of it in one night!!! The whole of England came to a stand still, but my dad lent me an old Citroen AX (1992 model) to pooter about in and it had snow tyres... I was driving up the motorway doing an easy 45mph, while all the Beemers and Mercs were tottering along in the slow lane at what appeared to be a mere 5mph, lol... Oh the fun :D even built me a large snowman outside of the Library :)

That's actually not a lot. I'm in Nothern Ontario off the Great Lakes (smack dab in the middle I guess) so lake effect snow is pretty big. Recent years it hasn't snowed as much. Heck last year we didn't have snow until January, it was my first green Xmas and I was sad.


We had years growing up where there'd be snow banks on the streets at Halloween and usually pretty big snow banks in general. It's died out a lot last couple of years for sure.

i'm thinking I quite like the simple "tin package" presentation for birthdays and events... maybe not so much for my weddings, because i have this fantastic idea I want to try for wedding discs, but nobody makes it, so i'm going to have to make a few mocks myself to see if they sell.

puke - I just had to spend ages fixing an order coz the stupid form didn't keep the "matte" choice and I didn't read carefully enough on review. So now I have one set of glossy and one of matte coming LOL Expensive lesson, but it could have been worse - at least it was a little top up order!

Hey folks, we've decided to get our Chrstmas wrapping paper printed this year so I had a go at a pic session with our 11 month Josh. I know selective colouring gets a bashing, but I like it at times, and I think it works with this type of pic, but what do you think?

Hey folks, we've decided to get our Chrstmas wrapping paper printed this year so I had a go at a pic session with our 11 month Josh. I know selective colouring gets a bashing, but I like it at times, and I think it works with this type of pic, but what do you think?
We had two different designs, this was my first attempt at bouncing flash, how did I do?

I like photo #2, but as always I really don't like selective color. There's too much contrast between B&W & strong red. Try partial desaturation instead of complete.

Yeah it's fine, try bouncing off a wall as well as the ceiling, or both at the same time.

Oooo, I have gossip - that no one will care about but me, but anyway.

There was a wedding at the resort on the weekend. They had booked their friend, who has done a wedding here or there for other friends, to do it long before I got into things here. I was tempted to ask if I could second shoot with her, but was warned off by lots of local people who know her personally. Said she was "unstable" - and that's the nicest thing that was said.

Anyway, turns out she got falling down drunk very early in the piece and the celebrant was really unhappy with her behaviour AGAIN. No word on how much of the wedding she was actually able to cover, but I'm keeping my ear to the ground and will offer the couple something if I find out it all went south.

The celebrant has already refused to work with the guy who shot my wedding again and now she's on his no-no list. So he's over the moon that I'm shooting now. Hopefully it will mean good things for me!
