View Full Version : A60 won't do Replay mode

It happened while I was weeding out images in Replay mode. It just switched into Camera mode, and it won't go back, after every combination of power / mode switch / battery changing / default settings I can think of. I even reformated the SD card--no help.

It seems awfully like some kind of in-house testing mode. Canon politely said send it on in. I'd rather find some magical way to get it back into normal operation rather than go without it for a month. I've had it less than a week.

Anybody seen this problem? Thanks in advance!

You may want to try resetting the camera (press and hold in the MENU button for about 10 seconds), but if this doesn't work (which it probably won't), I'd send it in. Contrary to popular belief, Canon tech support is usually correct.

My A60 has just done the same thing! It will take pictures but selecting REPLAY mode still leaves the camera in the CAMERA mode. It worked fine yesterday. I tried all the same troubleshooting steps except for reformating the memory card but I did swap the 128 MB for a 16 MB with no luck. I can download from the memory card using a card reader on my desktop computer. I bought my A60 about 2 years ago so I guess I get to pay for the repairs.
