Travel to Tunisia

We're on our way to Tunisia for three weeks in two weeks and, of course, I'm taking my Digital Rebel with me. We'll be out and about in the sand for some , if not all, of the journey.

My camera rides in a Lowepro TLZ Mini case with a seperate case for my 75-300 lens. Can anyone out there offer some advice on keeping my kit relatively dust free? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My original Rebel rode in the same case across the Kimberly in NW Australia in 2001 without any problems.

Hi MsPrague,

You dont tell us if you have another lens. If the 75-300 is your only lens then I would suggest that you clean your camera before going, fit the lens and then leave it on the camera. The only time you will get crud in the camera is when you are changing lenses, if you do all of your shooting with one lens then remove the posibilty by keeping it attached. When you get back to your hotel use a blower brush to remove any dirt/sand on the outside of the camera.
