hmmm were most these shot with the 10-22? They seem distorted and almost like matchbox cars for some reason.

I'm really sorry but in my opinion the distortion of the wide lens has competely ruined them.

I had a feeling I should have played it safe and shot them like a typical boring car shoot. But because the owners were older gentlemens who were facinated with photoshopping and wide angle shots, I figure I did these for them. On a few of them, I just wanted to capture the BG more then anything(for the use of that wide angle lens). I did get plenty with the 18-55mm though. Thanks for the comments.

It's actually not blurred. The sun was peeping out of that area and thats glare( see pic #1 same thing in the same area but it was shot earlier so it wasnt as bad )hence the clouds blown.

Some older Ferrari's. Nice :)
I think the shots look good.
The blacks in #4 aren't ideal and there's a bit of flare on the top, but it's hard to shoot black.
I'm not too keen on the transparent hood on #5. Sometimes it works, but it's not doing anything for me on that shot.
It's nice to see some vintage Ferrari's. :)

Wow those are stunning. Looks like they've certainly been babied by him. The WA on #1 is a little much. I think it would have looked really great horizontally. Did you take one like that?

Well, I love the Ferrari's and I think these pictures are great with the possible exception of #3 where I think the distortion is just a little too much, that is a beautiful car and that particular picture does not show it off well.
I love number 1 & 7, and also the selective color in #8
Excellent!

Yes I did. I liked that setup so I took pretty much all the angles I could.

Thats weird, cause I think any cars that have a big rear end(MKIV supras, mid 60's mustangs, hatchbacks etc) all will look great with this shot so I always shot at this angle with this lens. And for this coupe, it had a nice big rear end as well. I understand your point where "it does not show it off well", I guess all I was really trying to show off there was the huge rear end. I'm sure its another case of different strokes for different folks.
Anyways, thanks for the comments good or bad. I find it weird that I shot almost 50/50 between the 18-55mm and the 10-22mm, yet....all the ones I choose to post up are 10-22mm. :o

Some harsh critics in here :)
Here's my two penneth.
1. I like it, although the more I look the more the distortion becomes a distraction.
2. The best of the bunch I love it. It helps to have a beautiful car.
3. Does nothing for me. Nice exposure etc but not the cars best side. Might have been better shooting the fornt form the same angle.
4. The worst shot. The colours are over saturated in the belts and the wheel, the blacks look a little grey and the shot looks grainy / noisy.
5. I didn't notice the transparent bonnet until second viewing. It would be a better shot without it, the car is interesting enough to not require little tricks and this is not the best execution of the method.
6. I like it. Maybe a little more spacing between the cars so you can see more of them. Also the reds are very flat in this image compared to the others.
7. Nice but could have done without the shadow.
8. I don't like the selective colour, almost a tilt toy car look, converging verticals in the building are very strong and the sky looks somewhat blown.
A varied, interesting but flawed set of images.

If you have Photoshop, do a lens correction to get rid of the distortions. But if thats what the guy asked for, leave it.
I like the tones in the first pic, its by far my favorite

John, thanks for the CC in all of them. I really appreciate it.
1. Again, the 18-55mm was not able to capture most of the buildings and sky. I had to go with this shot.
3. A case of different strokes for different folks.
4. I have to agree, the PP on this shot sucks.
5. Again, the owner was facinated with the technology nowadays and I did this for him along with the original shot.
6. I agree, I should have put more spacing between them.
7. Agreed. But by this point, it was hot and they "older" guys were getting tired. If you ever work with these classic cars before, they dont like to start up the car if they dont have too. I didnt want them to reposition the car again.
8. Yep, its no secret the sky is blown. The sun peeped out of that blown area about 15min after that shot.
what about my question?
You have to pay to get into this one.

I'll have to try that to see how it looks. I did not know of the lens correction until now. Thanks.

Filter > Distort > Lens Correction. Also the simplest way to add a vignette.
