Was reading the 6° of Kevin Bacon thread and got to thinking. How many people have bought and then re-sold Ronalds 24-70's and all the other gear he so famously has passed on to us. Who on these boards cannot be linked back to Ronald via his sold gear. So, sound off, who has or has bought from someone else some of Ronalds gear ;)

Let's see..... I will start (unless someone posts while I am).
I bought a canon i9900 from him, sold locally on craigslist and bought an epson r2400.
I bought a 35L from him recently and still have it.
I traded my 100mm macro for 3 backgrounds and a background support system with Ron a few months back.
Ummm... I sold him an external hard drive three weeks ago.
I think that's all for me, for now.

And now maybe I'll be buying his new 5D he just got. (Because we all know he'll sell it within a month)
I better check the sell forum regularly.

I bought a 50 1.4 from his just recently. I have never had a problem doing business with people here in POTN, and Ronald is about as good as it gets. He mailed the lens to me as stated and I got it safe and sound. :) Now, what's going on with his new 5D?

Well he finally broke down and ordered one. He is having withdrawals I think haha. I'm just guessing he will end up selling it before long, no mater what he says. He told me he is going to keep it no matter what, but he'll break ;)

Unless someone bought something off me then sold it to Ronald McJunior, I have no connection to him other than the internet and my continual harassment.

Ronald loves the 5D, but continues to wonder if it's good enough. Just relax. It's worth it. There is no other camera model except the 1DsMkIII that's even close, Ronald. Give it up!

You'd think he'd know that by now too Suzy. Only time will tell

Don's not the only one that likes to harass me. :p
I had to try all the bodies just to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I wasn't, and now the 5D is back. There's no denying what's best, and that's her. I have no plans to sell her again. 5D and 24-70L for life. Maybe someday if I can afford a 1DsMkIII I might sell, but not for anything else.

Ah the yellow headed amazon has visited again :)
Hey Ron! Well good luck with keeping that combo. If you need to sell it for something, please let me know haha. I'd definitely consider it for a second body :)

I ask for and receive advice from Ron all the time. And he doesn't even charge me for it.
he's a true asset to this forum. Make no mistake about that.

I have never had any transaction with Ron, but I do hope he heads to NYC sometime for some street shoot get together. How about sometime in November Ron?

Don't know fella. It'd have to be something I "can't afford to miss", because I "can't afford to go"
Traveling to the city, even though I'm only 3 hours away, is quite expensive for me. Basically a tank of gas each way ($100) and then parking and hotel ($150/night), gets pricey.

I would think there was plenty of room in the trunk of your caddy to sleep :)
I've bought and traded with Ronald a couple of times :) chatted a few times too :)
I think he's allright ;)

Ron, yesterday I had to shoot on the fly and of course, picked up the 5D with 24-70 with UV filter (because it was bright out), twisted on the hood and and shot 350 pictures at the school. Most came out beautiful. The AF on the 5D is wonderful and the DoF is easy to adjust, whether group or individual. Only drawback of yesterday was I wish I had another shooter with my 20D and 70-200 4.0 so the kids could have had close-ups. I love that set-up. I only have 2 arms, so I couldn't do it. Have to crop. But even with tight cropping, the 5D is amazing. It's your fault, you know, that I have that combo. Stick with it. I laugh at all the other parents with their tiny P&S's. :)

Link Belomondo To Ron Sr Jr.
Let's see, Tom lost a tripod in the desert,
I sent him a new one to replace it,
He lost that one too,....
A guy finds it, let's call him "George" and does not know it's value,.
He puts it up on E-bay, where Ron knowing more scoops it "buy it now" very cheap.
Tom then needing to replace his 2nd lost tripod sees the very same kind for sale on the forum..
Ron sells it to Tom, neither realize that he selling Tom his own tripod back to him again.

It's funny, Mum. I get the distinct feeling that I've dealt with you before. I've not, apparently, but boy...it sure seems like it.
I've dealt with probably 300 or more POTN'ers. There's few regular members that can say they haven't dealt with me.
