Was a nice day at times, and sleeted at others.

But it did provide a last chance to see a few friends.

Thanks

I just couldn't get as low a shutter speed as I would have liked.

I have an idea on how I can get there though........LOL

I stick an ND4 filter on for bright days to keep it around 1/400th at f4 or so

I could get the low shutter speed I wanted, just couldn't seem to pan smoothly enough to pull off anything below 1/80th.

I really wanted to get a 1/20th- 1/30th range pan, to get the colour of the trees to really rip your eyes out.

The trouble with the really slow pans is the aperture goes through the roof and you're PS'ing out dust spots on the lens and sensor.

Some days I can't pan below 1/125th and others I can get down to 1/30th successfully and 1/25th almost successfully :D

I think I am gonna go with two camera bodies, to avoid lens changing and dust as much as possible.

Granted, the spring and fall seems to be more dust free, but I have accepted that sensor dust is just part of the equation.

Thats why I wish we had ISO's like 25 and 50, so the aperture would stay lower, when doing low speed pans.
