Well, I finally put together my first JewelBoxing (http://www.jewelboxing.com/index.php) CD case and I think it looks sexy. When I first got the cases I thought they looked rather average but once I put together my design and inserted it into the case. wow! Its better than anything else I've used so far.

Like everyone else has said these look great. The photo labeled "inside with cd" I was going to comment on the fact there was no cd then I said "wait there it is" so very nice touch with that.
One question. What type of paper did you print the inserts/cd on? (well I guess the cd isn't paper... genius). And what package did you order from jewelboxing?

I work in the packaging industry. I can tell you that upscale packaging is a great way to project quality and professionalism and increase the perceived value of the product.
You obviously understand that. Great job!

I've contemplated these for a while, but these pics sold me. Great job! I love how the CD blends in with the inside jacket.

That package is super nice.
Just one question...Is the plastic brittle? I know some clear/hard case can crack very easy.
Thanks for sharing!

They look great, thanks for posting! I just ordered some myself, though I might need to replace my printer to use them - mine can be a bit dodgy.

Great design and execution. I am a sucker for shiny, pretty objects and I would buy one even though its not my wedding lol

The company provides the paper with dotted lines so you can punch out the inserts after printing. They also provide adhesive CD labels but I skipped that step and just printed directly on the CD itself. I ordered the 20 pack King Jewel Cases. Then you can download Photoshop templates to layout the design.
Do note that you should read and follow all of the steps. Also, do a print out on regular paper before the provided template paper. My design didn't line up exact and for the reason I'll keep the designs loose and more organic next time so that if it doesn't line up it wont matter too much. I was thinking for the inside jack you could do a montage of images or some text stating that they have permission to print images off the CD, etc, etc. Also, the biggest perk of them all is that the case can hold 2 CDs on the spindle. Thats right! 2 Discs inside that one case. So for some weddings that need several discs burned you can save on cases by doubling them up in one case. I love the custom look of the case and it can really be marketed like a product. You could go all out and make a full booklet out of the jacket but that would require additional paper and 2 staples to hold it together.

Thanks for the info Opie, I'm definitely keeping these in mind.
Not sure if your sample shows is second take on the printing but I can't see any faults from the pics you've provided.

I received my shipment a few days ago and i'm just starting to make my first case. I have to say it's kinda cryptic, there's 5 psd files and no instructions. Putting a white background on the templates makes them MUCH easier to read. Does anyone who's used them have any tips?

Tim drag your image onto the template and then adjust the opacity of the image to about 50% so you can see the lines for the template. Get your image sized and placed but leave about 1/4 inch around the lines so when its printed it will have a full bleed. Also, things will not line up exactly so make the layout loose or use several images like a wedding album spread. print on regular paper first before printing it on the provided paper. Your first design is going to be a pain but once you've figured it out you can do it again and again with ease. Its kind of like laying out a wedding album in photoshop. A little overwhelming at first.

I've put together my templates and instructions for using the JewelBoxing templates with a Canon MP960 printer, and they should work with other Canon printers too. These templates line up with the perforations correctly, at least on my printer. People can get them here (http://www.wildphotography.co.nz/jewelboxing-templates.html).

Holy crap! This is VERY similar to what I've been trying to do, and working with the printer on price has been a pain in the butt... and in the end the stuff still isn't this nice. This is awesome, thank you for sharing!
