This is my first post in this section. I have been looking at all your bird photos and completely amazed with them. Thought I would give it a try (not as easy as you folks make it look). Cloudy and cold today, but took these anyway. Not my best but its a start. I could really get in to this birding thing..;)

yep cant go wrong with a duck shot if you want to start set something up in your garden or you havent one then somewhere in the country if you start feeding them at a good distance for your 70-200 you'll be able to get some cracking shots. or get a tc.
many thanks
ps. and welcome

Welcome to the Bird section. Looks like you might have a great bird image there, have you considered cropping the image in nice and close?

Welcome to birdie land. That first one is a Goldfinch in case you didn't know. And it took three looks at the duck shot to see all three ducks. I should probably go look again, that black one hid from me a long time, there might be more. :)

Welcome to the feather forum section. The next thing you will be saying to yourself is "if only I could get closer" Thats when your wallet gets a hammering, but it's all worth it when you get that shot that puts a big smile yor face.
