Hi all. I bought the S5 for it's great zoom plus movie making utility. I'll be taking stills and film for the web and I'm wondering what software i can use to edit my movies with? I want software that is higher end than the one that comes with the camera purchase. I already own Adobe Premiere Pro, but for some reason it doesn't want to import Canon's output format, which is too bad since I'm already familiar with Premiere.. Anyone use video editing software for the Canon's movies? Thanks. Appreciate the help.

By the way, what IS Canon's movie export format? Is it Quicktime?

Try this software and see if you can convert the avi that the S5 makes into an AVI that Premiere Pro can edit.
http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=virtualdub&filename=VirtualDub-1.7.6.zip&use_mirror=superb-east

This is the format the S5 uses:
File formats • Still: JPEG (Exif 2.2)
• Movie: AVI (Motion JPEG compression)
