What sort of backpack, hip holster, fannypack, type thingies do you all use to walk around town with your Digital Eos? I'm thinking of those of you with the battery grip attached and with a moderate to semi-long lens attached (as long as a 100-400 EF L zoom for instance). Or is it always just on the old neck strap?

I still like the good old strap - even if it is heavy.....
In addition I use one of the newer type back packs - thats conveniant for travel as it does not block your hands.......... try one out - its much easier to carry then a one sided hanger bag........
Cheers!

I just ordered a new camera/laptop backpack from Tamrac that has not come in yet, but I am anticipating liking it quite a bit. http://www.tamrac.com/759.htm

I just got a Tamrac Expedition 4 backpack for my upcoming Euro-trip. It's a small pack that will carry my D30, 2 lenses, image tank, flash, charger and accessories, filters, etc, and more...
For around the town kind of stuff, I just got a ZING neoprene camera cover and a few of their lens cases as well...I love these little cases!
I'm coming to Helsinki in early September...I'm hoping to get a chance to meet Pekka!

I wanted to put ten pounds of equipment in a five pound bag so I am using the Lowepro Orion. It has a belt and shoulder strap and if something doesn't fit, I don't need it! It carries a D30 and G1, three lenses and assorted filters, adapters and small accessories. It opens from the inside out so if you're using the belt mount everything is visible (if your tummy is not too big).
