Someone is trying to book me for a thanksgiving wedding.

Would you jack up your fee at all considering that it's last minute, and thanksgiving?

I had someone with the same request. I did not want to do a Thanksgiving wedding but felt if they wanted to pay my asking price I would do it. They did not go for it.
So my suggestion is that YES if they want you to work a holiday than it is more expensive. Also time away from the family was another issue with me.

I agree... if someone wants you to work on a holiday, they should expect to pay more. I had to call a plumber in once because the sewer line backed up on a holiday... cost me 3 times more than it would have if I waited until after the holiday... same principle... ;)

Do you need a second shooter?, I could skip the day with the inlaws.

^ LOL... yes, I have added "holiday" fees... but as others have said, it's usually a 2-fer with the family break.

The moral of this thread??

More money + less time with the in-laws = wonderful day!

lol... ;)
