I am having a very hard time coming up with a name for my Photography business. I thought about just using my name (rebecca bowlin) but everyone has a hard time spelling my last name, and there are different ways to spell my first name. I also thought about Lunate Photography. I want something original yet simple. I want to do portriats, weddings stuff like that. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also please let me know what you think of Lunate Photography? I want a name that means something, kind of formal name.
Thanks!
Bec

If people can't spell your last name, do you think they will be able to spell "Lunate"? ;)

Using an object/colour etc that the user can think about to remember your name!
PINKPHOTO.COM
ORANGEPHOTO.COM
MONSTERPHOTO.COM
APPLEPHOTOGRAPHY.COM
etc! Play with words like that. Think about successful companies within the same criteria!

That is what I was thinking too. Lunate is my kids name combined. Once people see my last name they usally remember it. But its just the first time they don't ever know how to spell.

Rebecca,
When I read this - a thought came to mind.
"Photography by Rebecca" as the biz name
(I know not rocket science - but it says that Rebecca is a photographer)
and your logo could be PR
with the P backwards and bumped up against the R
and/or originating from the same vertical as the R.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like it. I tried the PR in photoshop and it didn't look right. I want something elegant, yet laid back, if that is possible.
