After dropping my girlfriend at work this morning, I forgot to take the camera out of the car. Ran out and just as I was about to go inside I see this little fellow.

Excuse me sir, do you know where the sunflower seeds are located?

C&C Welcomed. This is my first bird post! I've been working on doing some for a little while.

Looks like a Northern Flicker to me! Especially love the last one with the squirrel - that's just what it looks like he's saying.

Good capture of the flicker, and the squirrel. They both look kind of bewildered...steve

Thanks for the info. I am going to put up some suet to keep him around. These were the pics of birds I've taken with my 100-300.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to crop out that deep shadow on the bottom of some of these shots.

I will do that with them Ira. I really like the shots you take. I need to get out today and get some more bird pics.

It's also a male Northern Yellow Shafted Flicker. He won't stay in Chicago through the winter cause they eat bugs, especially ants, in a nice un-poisoned lawn.
