Not too crazy about the first one.

I like the colors on the 2nd shot but I would like to see more of the scene. Maybe a wider angel crop.

...........also..............a silhouette of a person or a tree would've added some OOmmPH to the last shot.

It's water. I couldn't have had anyone walk across the Atlantic...Hmm...Perhaps a drowner?

Lol....Thanks!

Look you have done a nice job.

If you have not read the articles by Michael Reichmann at his Luminous Landscape website, I encourage you to do so. Start with

and continue with http://www.luminous-landscape.com/essays/30seconds.shtml

Image #1 -- the beach scene
Well composed. Good left to right motion. The sea is not horizontal. The image is kind split in two parts -- and that generally is a no - no, meaning that the composition is not overly strong. The color is limited (Martha's Vinyard must be full of color ). But most of all the light was not out that day -- and that cut the opportunity ! I tried to give it a boost in PS:

Image #2 -- From the Ferry
Potential to be a Monet. Not soo much content. Still too much of a 50-50 composition. Zoom to shoreline (if possible) might have added detail. Maybe timimg - wait for a sailboat to enter somewhere. Blurred -- required shorter shutter speed at perhaps ISO 100. Horizontal is an issue here too. Great mood. Needs more contrast, I tried to boost in PS:

*hugs howie*

Thanks! I was debating whether to color enhance the first one, but I didn't like the color of the grass when I did that because it was soo not normal, but I really liked what you did...Thanks for the article!

EDIT- that was a really awesome article....Thanks!
