My 1st E session

Hey to all.. havent been on in awhile and would love some feedback on these. Dont hold back..im not sensative.. lol

1. Selective colouring is evil 99% of the time. This is one of those times. Would probably be cute as regular coloured, or straight b&w.
2. Underexposed.
3. Too busy. What is it supposed to be a photo of? The sign on the door and the little kid between their bodies kind of ruins it.
4. Underexposed, would like to see them more towards the upper left of the picture with a more effective use of space to the right. They also look very flat - play with your curves a little to make them pop.
5. Out of focus, or did you add one of those lame glamour effects? I'm not a fan of the glamour effect. Either way, I don't know why anyone would want an out of focus picture.

Mostly what I see is a lot of Photoshop effects. Sometimes a little, tiny tiny tiny bit of Photoshop goes a long way. If you're trying to use Photoshop to make crappy pictures look decent, then you need to work more on your photography and less on your photoshopping.

Someone got out of bed the wrong side today. Talk about harsh! I`m sure you could have worded this a bit kinder.
I too think they are under exposed, but NOT crappy.

He asked for honest critique and got it. This is why I refrain from commenting on other's photos in this forum.

I agree with JJacula on some points,

1. not a fan of the selective coloring here
2. I like the contrast between the dull colored wall and the couple but its a little dark and I'm not really feeling a close connection between the couple and there is way too much head room.
3. I don't like how you cut the woman off, this may be better more centered so you can see both people, and maybe see their heads too.
4. A bit orange and I think could have used a shallower depth of fied I find the pealing paint an interesting texture but distracting.
5. A good composition but again appears a bit orange and looks OOF if its a PP effect get rid of it. I looks like a mistake.
