When i left this morning i thought no-way will they play in this fog,visibility 30m max.Got to the ground and it had lifted a tad,but it was grim to say the least,ah well....

Rugby is a game played with a ball, sorry but I can't see it on the first two.
Focus is good on all of them, hard to say if you would have stopped the movement in the game as the pictures posted are not really high action shots. On the shots posted you got good player background separation.

Nice crisp shots, shame about the weather!!
The above comment is a fair point about the ball. However rugby is also about positioning and strength which i believe is shown in the 1st image.
2nd image would of been nice to see with the ball mid-shot, but obviously this would have needed amazing timing!

Thanks for your comments guys,i think you've both made valid points.Just goes to prove you can never please every one in the world of photography.As for timing/practice,to get the kicker and the ball in the same frame with him in this position would be impossible, the ball has long gone,it was this position i was after.
