No mistake of double sharpening made on these these have been processed just the same as we have been doing em all year.

Thats it now until January, although post processing, albums and new website will mean were still very busy (especially with full time jobs) and the other major project is that I am turning our double garage into a client viewing/meeting area which is taking a lot of my time up atm. The goal is to have that finished by Christmas which is tight but hopefully it will stay on track and we can kick the year off with a really nice area to show our stuff off in.

Polite C&C welcome.

1. Sometimes I dont know which way to look when the ladies are getting ready... but theres always some fun shots.

2. Jon's version of the flower detail shot, nice shallow DOF with the 50mm prime, I definitely need to use my 30mm more

3. Ideally we would have liked them to swap positions because the bride was a bit taller than the groom but the grass was wet and the bride wouldnt take another step further so hey ho it is what it is.

4. Fisheye cake shot in towards the room, this is a shot we always try and get.

5. Outside the church, the grass was very wet so we shot everything at that location against the church wall but I think it works ok

6. Bride and her mum before the ceremony

7. Inside of the chruch shot from my location at the back whilst Jon is ducked down at the front

8. Me treading carefully near the waters edge to get the angle that I wanted or as close as I could get without getting my feet wet anyway.

#1's cool, I likey. In #2 he seems to be saying "take the damn photo so we can go have a drink will you!". #4 is cool, #5 is nice i'd do something with her scar (her left eyebrow) but i'd check with her first. #7 is a well executed must-have shot, I like it.

Cheers Tim, your spot on about the grooms attitude, the bride really liked having photos he wasnt so keen, but hey ho we do what we can.

Regards pic 5 we never touch permanent stuff unless they have asked for it to be done and its always a tricky one to ask about, I think we may work something standard into our client meeting discussions for next year to cover this one.

I had a similar situation recently, so I know how it goes. I guess the solution is to engage the couple, or have them concentrate on each other. However, under pressure it's sometimes hard to recognise this needs to be done, let alone doing it.

Good point on the permanent blemishes. I used to ask if there was anything in particular people wanted done in photoshop, but I don't so much any more. An easy way to broach the subject would be to show a picture of yourself before and after photoshop (no offense intended) to show what you can do! I photoshop any picture of myself before the outside world sees it!

Thats good advice tim and we definitely try and do that. Sometimes things just go against you though and in this case a combination of a groom that wasnt that into photos, rapidly failing light so not much time for photos and shooting in a very small area (so the grooms mates were very close to where we were shooting which is never good for getting blokes to relax imo) just worked against us and the "posed" shots of the groom are definitely not our best. Happy with some of the shots we got in between posed shots though where he was just doing stuff like helping the bride with the dress etc. We always try and drag the couple away from everyone for at least 15 minutes but at this venue it wasnt possible particularly with the bride not wanting to tread on the grass very much. Definitely a good idea to get blokes away from their mates if you want them to look interested and soppy with the bride ! :)

Good idea of having a shot of myself :) although I dont want to give the impression that we can do a ton of PP to every photograph we take or were gonna add massively to our workload.

Cheers guys, its gonna seem a long time until our next one in January (even with plenty to keep us busy) so I will keep loitering here and admiring everyone elses images and getting some fresh ideas for 2008 weddings !

Lovely images Banbert, always improving, I really like the rose image in the other thread...

Did you go for a new site in the end from Blu? Due to the £ issue I'm having an amalgamation of the site Jack and Lucy's HTML part.... we shall see how that goes!

Cheers Cate.

Not pulled the trigger on the website yet but I think I am still sold on Lucy despite the £ issue so its interesting to learn they are sorting something for you.

I was hoping that they would release some new dual flash and html sites along with their recent new sites as even though I like Lucy theres some other flash sites I like a little more but they dont have HTML mirrors which is a must have for me.

Want to get it sorted before xmas though so I better get my bum in gear soon!
