In CS, mask the areas with very light mask, invert mask and do "filter->blur->average" (and then fade it if needed).

Or just clone them away.

or use lasso tool to select the area, then use patch tool drag your selection over an area of skin where it's smooth, it'll even things out.

but make sure skin you use is under the same lighting, otherwise you'll need to work slightly more.

I believe that designers of the "healing brush" (a version of the patch tool) had skin blemishes in mind. It was arguably the most significant new feature introduced in Photoshop 7. The tools works wonders on all forms of bumps, zits, wrinkles and other imperfections of the human skin.

awesome heres another one I just found..

to cover dust or make a cosmetic change
*make a duplicate of the original image
*choose filter -> noise -> dust and scratch -> adjust radius and threshold until facial bumps ect. are hidden (click OK)-> on the same layer -> click alt and add layer mask .
* make sure white is in the foreground color in the toolbox -> choose airbrush -> choose softedge brush tip (just about the size of the facial bumps you wanted to hide) -> dab the airbrush on the bumps on the detail area ( the dab will make white hole on the mask allowing the filtered image to cover the spot areas.

Once I´ve found this, and since then I´ve used it always with success:

1: quick mask
2. paint the face with the brush -avoid expressions marks
3. exit quick mask
4. inverse selection
5. ctrl + j (copy via layer)
6. gausian blur + o - 6 (on the copyed layer)
7. add noise + o - 2
8. set the layer on 60 % of transparency.
