I just accuired a contract to catalog 25,000 fabric swatches for an aloha shirt company. I have in my office a $20,000 color blueprint scanner that I intended to to the job with but the color is not that accurate and it generates large files >50mb. I suggested using a digital camera to photograph them instead. I would appreciate suggestions on what type of lighting to purchase, how best to set up the lighting and how to prop these samples up. The majority of the samples are 20" x 30" or so. I was planning to use a DRebel and a 17-40 f4.0L lens. Thank You in advance for the help.
