Hi,
I was wondering if someone could please help me figure something out. I have never used an action before. I downloaded the minight sepia action in a zip file and all went well with that (so I think). Made a (shortcut) icon on the desktop, when I click on it paint shop opens (I have PSE 2.0) . So my question is probably silly but.....how do I get to it from there ,does it some how become part of photo shop???

If it's a Paintshop specific action, you probably need to add it to the action file. I don't know Paintshop that well, but you should be able to find the information in the Manual or in the Help Files.

I dont know about paint shop either but with photoshop you need to locate the Photoshop Actions folder: C: -> Program Files -> Adobe -> Adobe Photoshop CS2 -> Presets -> Photoshop Actions.

Open the Photoshop Actions folder and copy and paste the Action (.atn) file in there.

Bob's your uncle.

Sounds like you have Photoshop Elements 2.0, of which I know basically nothing. However, as Michaelgreen says, you need to copy the .atn file (you'll see it when you unzip the .zip file) into the "actions" folder in your application. If Elements has the ability to use actions, they should be roughly where michaelgreen says they are. I'm just not sure of the actual directory structure of elements...
