I'm having a strange problem. I downloaded the Photoshop Elements 6 trial and it was working fine. This morning, I tried to open some RAW files and when they opened, they had red splattered all over the highlights. As I did highlight recovery, the red began to go away. Has anyone experienced this?
When I work with JPEG's I have absolutely no problems.
By the way, I removed the program completely, I re-installed and I still have the same problem. Strange.

It's a feature - in the full version of photoshop you toggle them on or off using the arrow at the top right of the histogram. At the top left of it there's the opposite warning.
Time to read the manual eh? :p

How dumb of me. Being an advertising man, with lots of deadlines and too many projects I haven't had the time to read the manual.
Guess what? The spots are gone. Thank you Tim.

Heh! They had highlight and shadow clipping warning prior to Elements 6, I believe, but I think it was off by default. All of this only if my memory serves me well:)!
