After my poor effort with the squirrels (see 'Very disappointed') I purchsed an Ixus 330.
These ('my garden' and 'summer time') are the very first pictures taken with it - in my garden on Saturday.
I've only ever taken 'point and click' shots before and this was an attempt to be a bit more creative. I'd be very grateful for comments.

I'm not sure what it is as I don't have enough experience but the Squirrels picture seems like a an enlarged copy of a lesser pixel resolution. Over enlarged I guess. I like the Picture though, just the quality is poor.
I'm sure the more experienced members can tell you what you did wrong.
As far as the others go, I like the watering can. Maybe show a little more of the youngster's face for expression. You're getting the hang of it though.

The squirrel shot was taken with a 'cheap'n'cheerful' camera that I had borrowed - but it make me smile.
Thanks for the other comments - I would post more 'summertime' shots - but unfortunately here in the UK the summer has ended!
Cheers
