This is a piece i did with photoshop called "Out on a Shout" which is a term used by R.N.L.I when they embark on a Sea Rescue
Origional Picture used was of Dalkey Island Picture was taken on a calm day with very calm seas

What's that at the bottom to left of the signature? I can't make it out

I like it a lot!!
If I had to pick one ting to work a little more on with this shot, it would be the light beam coming from the light house. I would probably use a large, soft brush on the edges of the beam to blend it into the darker background so it looked more natural. I think the line between the light beam and the dark sky is to sharp / distinct.
Again, It's a great creation!

Welcome to the forums. That's really a fascinating image you've posted. It does just draw you into it. Very nice work and excellent editing.

What jpthomas27 said, plus the light needs to be brighter at its source, fading as it gets farther from the lighthouse. But nice use of near/far to make a dramatic scene.

Totally agree when I saw it too. You don't expect to see a light beam that crisp on the edges. I would make the same selection with polygonal lasso and then feather the selection and then fill it.
