Image size in Kb can you all vote?

Pekka and all EE users, this issue has been on my mind and I would like to get some feedback for other users. I've been looking at other galleries and for a 800x600 pixel image they are about 100-200 Kb in size, my question to you all is (a) do you try to keep file size down to a minimum size for dial-up users?
(b) should we worry about dial-up users? What is it like in Europe?

Well, I'd like to settle my thoughts on this. I'm not happy with the quality of my images, I think I am compressing them too much.

Well Denmark is one of the countries in the world that has most broadband connections compared to number of people living in the country.

Myself, I have a 3 megabit connection and don't know anybody that use dialup connection.

I think US is way behind on the number of broadband connections - I might be wrong though as I have no numbers.

I go for quality over speed, the few people i know without BB or Cable have fast access from work so no problem there.
