With all the lovely autumn colours around I thought i'd try a montage, not something i've done before. I think i'm pleased with it. I didn't really have any idea of the final outcome before i started. I just fumbled around CS3 until i got something i liked.

C&C welcome good or bad

Hi

I like the idea but the top right hand side picture looks out of place. The blue background isn't inkeeping with the rest of the picture.

Cheers

I'd have to say I agree - you really do have a great presentation going there and the image in the upper left is fantastic! The bottom two are complimentary to the upper left - but upper right really needs something that works better with the whole. Cool project!

Thanks for the comments, especially about the top right photo. I must admit I wasn't sure about that. Trouble is, I was lacking something suitable to put in its place. I will definitely make an effort to find something else more in keeping with the rest of it.

Thanks!

Not sure of the montage either, but I really like the photos, and totally agree with the out-of-place upper right photo.

How'd you do 1 & 4? Looking at it I'd probably take one long exposure of a colorful leaf background zooming in or out as the shutter is open, then take a good photo of a leaf and clone it over the bg. Your method was probably easier.

Marty my method was indeed easier, it's a radial blur set to zoom in photoshop. I masked the leaves from their respective backgrounds and placed them over the top. For the bottom right image, the leaf and background are the same image, i just masked the image. For the top right it's two separate images. The background was similar to that in the bottom left image.
