Hey all-

First post here as far as pictures go... I'm heavily into sports photography and have been looking to mess with some stuff indoors on a ghetto-rigged backdrop.

Setup: Canon 350D, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Speedlite 430EX. Halogen lights, posterboard.

Nice stuff!

The backdrop material seems a bit bumpy and distracting but otherwise, the light treatment seems pretty slick.

At first I wondered what the bent push-pin was doing in the glass of liquid and then realized that must be what you dropped into the glass to get the droplet...perhaps a more esthetically pleasing prop such as an olive or cherry might fit the theme?

Overall, I like the trio band picture the best. ;)

Cheers! :)

Really dig the first image, except for the white reflection happening in the middle of the glass. Maybe if you moved that light source, I'm assuming it's your flash gun, to the side a bit you would have a clear view of the action going on inside the glass!

Great first attempt at flash and closeup..

What did you use for the trigger for the flash in #1?

It was just good timing, really.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. Yeah, the background was some pretty crappy posterboard and I really didn't have anything on hand to make the splash more aesthetically pleasing.
