I was going to crop a little off the right side to balance the image , but I decided to leave it considering what cropping does to IQ.
SS .8 sec, Aper 13, ISO 100, FL 14mm
Hope you like it

I like that shot. Maybe it's the color, but I suddenly felt very lonely looking at it. Got over it, though. Great shot.

Very nice Frank! Did you use a GND here? Love the colors in the sky and I like how you have just enough exposure in the foreground. Well done!

I don't think it needs a crop.
I'd like to have seen a touch more blur on the water. And pp is quite obvious, did you blend exposures? Otherwise this is a great shot, exposure and compition are spot on.
How does cropping affect IQ?

I like the shot as well. I am however curious as to what cropping does to IQ. Please explain.

Well there's still plenty here on the island to trod down if you like.

I wanted more blur in the water as well, but slowing down the ss would result in clipping of the highlights. My goal was to try and capture the light as it appeared
Only PP done here was a little saturation and sharpening.
No blending involved, just a single exposure.
After cropping, you basically end up enlarging that portion of the image which results in lower resolution. Not so good if you want to print.
Really nice shot.
Thanks mitchster

Nice shot... must have been taken some months ago as I'm sure that's a very icy place right now... Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't change a thing.

Yes, the picture was taken awhile ago, this past summer. But a viewer decided to bring it back to the front page.

If there is such a thing as a perfect shot you captured it with ease. I absolutely love this photo. Frank this is good work. I only hope I can be that good some day. Keep up the good work my friend.
