My obsession with Bryce Canyon continues. Thoughts and feedback welcome.

Do you prefer color....

Something in between.

The colors, especially the sky are too saturated (even the white clouds are blue) for my taste. The B&W is too busy with strong light and dark tones and either needs to be simplified by cropping or toning down the contrasts to get more middle gray tones.

I like both Bryan. I would bring it out more since it was midday. Good composition.

Definitely colour.

I don't think this works in b&w at all because there's not enough contrast between the lights and the darks, so it loses clarity, it almost blurs into one. It's also way too dark.

I made a few adjustments in ACR to the images. In the color version, I color balanced the image assuming that they should be some shade of gray, then tweaked the color on the rocks in the foreground to sharpen the detail a bit, and and lastly reduced the saturation of the blue sky slightly.

While doing this, I noticed something that might be a dust bunny in the clouds -- check your other images to see if it is there or if this is just a feature in the clouds.

In the black and white version, I expanded the histogram to give a wider range between light and dark details.

These are just my personal preferences on changes to improve the pictures, but that doesn't mean very much.

Bill's B&W is much better.
