What angles convey which feelings? I have been doing some portraits of my kids mostly and I am trying to figure out the best angle to shoot from. I have tried doing eye level and they tend to look like I am looking up at them. Maybe I am squatting too much. What is the most natural angle to shoot from specially for full body shots? What other angles can be used to give different feelings to a person's photograph?
Thank you,
Ovi

There are standard posing guidelines for adult males and females, but I don't know if the rules for kids are the same. Shooting from adult eye level down to a kid will probably get poor results. I would guess that you want to be at their eye level to shoot.

Thanks Bob. I guess I should clarify that my kids are 16 and 12 and about 5'3".

Not knowing anything else, I would just start at their eye level and work out from there, even if I had to stand on a ladder to do it.

 Heck, at that age and height, wouldn't you just shoot them like you shoot any other adult? :?

That is the point. I am not specifically interested on best practices for shooting kids but best practices for shooting (with a camera :) ) people.

We're all constantly looking for better ways to capture the many faces (and moods) of family members - so well known to us.
If you're thinking of more formal portraiture, this link is an interesting read: http://jzportraits.home.att.net/
Zeltsman has a lot of opinons, rules, etc. Maybe it's a good starting point to branch from. :?
