I need some comments on this, as I find some are cheap, and some are out of the line. Tell me how to like yours...

VistaPrint did a good job on mine. And they're always, like almost every day, running "free" specials. :D

Vista print is ok, but not great compared to a local printer (NOT kinkos). Talk to most any professional designer, and they'll discourage you from vistaprint. Furthermore, ask a designer what local print shop they could recommend.
For anything like photography, your business card is your storefront. if you cut costs anywhere, don't cut them here.

There are TONS of places to print cards. I have used many and prefer the quality of my local (more expensive) printer.

Spectacular cards, IMHO. Mine is simple but the print quality and card stock they use is gorgeous. It doesn't bend freely like most cards...just screams "quality".

Talk to most any professional designer, and they'll discourage you from vistaprint. Full color, the price is right, & I pass them out like popcorn to the car guys here. I have other cards for ADs, & others for special purposes. Who ever said that we should only have one all-purpose card?

I got some from Vista & was very disapointed...I had to have them re-printed because they weren't printed straight...then they still came back bad...threw them out, and am going to try Mpix, I think...

Are you desiging yourself or having them designed, I use a printer that has wowed me from day one. I build business cards for people here locally and have had awesome reviews based on what the customer wanted and got. They can be full color Glossy front and back, or color front and bw back. Tell me a little more about what you are thinking

well how about some facts on why vista print sucks? I use them and my cards are spectacular complements on it constantly. Their foil process is great and who can beat their price? No one! The local printers have to say they are no good to stay in business.

Canon xti dude, if I pm you my address will you mail me one of your cards to compare to what i get done from my printer, I think that the stuff I use for my business is top notch, but if vista print is doing a better job then my print shop, I would like to know. Thanks

I'm glad you were happy with them. Maybe your the exception though. Why take a risk with your business cards?
Here's a forum with a whole lot of people who aren't happy with Vista Print.
http://forum.abestweb.com/archive/index.php/t-87085.html

but hey, if you want to go with them, go ahead. I for one know I wouldn't put them in charge of promoting my company.
Your image and first impression is all you have sometimes. why would you leave that huge responsibility to an inferior company?
One more thing -- local print shops have high prices for a reason -- they do a better job.

got my second batch of cards back from Vistaprint.com first batch had a typo. I guess they are not as consistent. Because the color on the picture was way darker on this second batch. But again for quality speed and price you cant beat 33$ including shipping for a full color double sided card with metallic foil accented text and logo.

Vista print is good for me. Yeah PM me your address and paypal me a $1 and i'll mail you my card. I dont know why the bashing is going on so much over vistaprint.com They are a high volume low price store. How can you bash someone that puts out a consistent quality product for 1/10 the price a local printer will do it. I mean on their sales they run all day long you get 250 cards and only pay 11$ shipping!!!!!!!!!

I think the bigger risk is taking it to a mom and pop print shop that cant afford to eat a mistake. I am so happy with vista print on this last batch i ordered about 3 days after ordering I noticed I had an alignment error on my card and I called up the customer service department and the rep said that the cards have printed but we will just destroy them and upload another image to print. Now thats customer service. They threw out cards that were my fault to reprint one that had one line moved up 1/10 of a millimeter.

Hey CanonXTiDude, are the cards you have "paid" or are they the "freebies" that you can get with their little advert on the back? I have a stack of the freebies that I got in a pinch and out of curiosity, but they look and feel like...well...the point at which excrement sees daylight.

I would highly recommend AmericasPrinter, had no complaints with them at all, pricing is GREAT. $63 and some change for 2500 business cards, UV coating bothsides, 3 day turn around!

I know I'm replying to an old thread here but I had to chime in my two cents worth.
I ordered cards from Vistaprint.com a few years ago using one of their designs' and they looked great. Cheap too. I recently ordered new cards from them using my design. What a huge letdown. The cards were too small, dark and were crooked on the back side. I even used their layout guide thing and had it perfectly straight and centered. They still printed the reverse side crooked somehow. They got trashed. Think I'm going with overnighprinting. Here's my design. It's ecentric...I know.

I love vistaprint - the price is great and the quality is good too - very durable thick paper - no complaints here. I also order my brochures, postcards, return address labels from them and any other marketing materials :)

a mom and pop shop that can't eat the cost of printing cards? You realize the cost of printing 1000 cards is like 2-4$ right?

I tried overnightprints with my first business card. Uploaded both sides of the card, looked at the web preview, and ordered. What was a blue background came out purple, even though I did them on a calibrated system and saved the images via their specs. Their reply was that they do not guarantee color accuracy.

I switched to
www.gotprint.com

The cardstock was nicer, the glossy coating was even (not on overnights), and the price was good if ordering 500 or more.

I'm sorry to hear about the experience you had. Actually i had feeling ever vista print said product is free, but also have charges on us. And i have tried another printing company, i love their color quality and printing quality.

Also, i like their service, they don't have any hidden fees. If you looking for an alternative to VistaPrint, you should check out www.printfac3.com

Printfac3 shiped internationally !
I was shocked with the service and quality of prints. I'm an actor so I have the get over 100's of eadshots printed out every year. The prices were incredibly reasonable and the quality was amazing.

I got my prints days after I placed the order and the prints look great! My manager and agents love the cards as well. Thanks Printfac3! www.printfac3.com

Yea, Vista is okay. They are cheap, but they lack quality if you ask me. I'r recommend Moo for smaller runs or printsafari for larger runs. When you buy business cards (http://www.printsafari.com/us_en)online, it's always some gambling if you ask me. I prefer ordering mine in a local copy shop. Service and quality is way better then anything I've experienced online.
Cheers!
