ok I have to confess I'm stumped, with no instructions (maybe none are required) how do I fit the hand strap on my D60.

I think this can be used with the neck strap... please correct if wrong

OK this is going to be fun to explain

in reverse order, yes you can use th neck and hand strap together there should be a little piece of rectabgular metal with some slots through it. The handstrap goes through one of the slots and the neck strap goes through the other.

The handstrap is made up of three pieces, the padded piece, the strap and the plastic widget that locks the strap.

Pass the strap through the padded piece (the padded piece is like a tube with a hole in one side that has then been flattened) so that the padding is near to the camera and the strap runs down the inside of the "tube". Poke each end of the strap through the mount on the top and bottom of the camera, then bring them back and back through the hand strap. Instead of going all the way through let the ends poke out through the hole in the middle of the padding. Take the plastic widget and thread one of the ends of the strap through it, then thread the other end through the widget the other way. If you wanted to mount the neckstrap as well then the metal rectangle with slots would have been put on the top of the strap after it had been put through the camera mount but before the end went back through the padded piece.

Hope that helps

My apologies if this is going to sound too presumptious of me but you do have the battery grip installed on your D60, right? Otherwise the hand strap will be useless.
