Central183,
How did you do that :?:
1. Did you set up on the flower and wait for the bee to come along?
2. Or did you keep aiming the camera around chasing the bee and then hope the exposure and focus come out OK when he lands?
I have tried the second approach, but usually get fuzzy photos. I just hate it when that happens.
Your bee and flower are sharp and in focus like the camera was on a tripod. (Was it?)
A really good photograph. :!:

You sould have seen me. I was originally just after the flowers. Then I saw this guy. He was totally asleep. I pulled off 2 dozen shots. This was one of 3-4 that were actually in focus. It was on the edge of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had the tri-pod set up about 1 foot from the road. These cars kept wizzing by and moving the branch. It was a lesson in patience that payed off.

Central183,
Maybe I did see you. When I drove the Blue Ridge Parkway the week before Memorial Day this year, I saw a photographer (with tripod) sitting on the ground taking pictures of flowers. I didn't think much of it at the time.
This is my favorite from my Blue Ridge Parkway collection of photos.

Thanks for the background information. Maybe I should stop trying to chase bees with my camera. Better to just set up my camera and tripod on the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway. :)
