Hello
I am heading out to Laguna Seca Raceway to shoot the Redline Time attack finals, what are the good spots around the track to shoot from?
Thanks
Rich

WoW over 100 looks no replys. Well here is my opinion. I like pictures taken from 8A always look great coming over the crest of the corkscrew and all they way threw. And the Andretti hairpin is a nice one too after such a high speed section you can see some glowing roters. Both are rather slow turns to the panning should be a little more easy.
If someone has shot there before they can give better more educated opinions. Its a rather clean uncluttered track that you can shoot from most anywhere. If you have access. Bring some long glass and plan ahead. The sun can be harsh on photos if its sunny out. There are a lot of wide open spots with no shade on the track.

I second the 8A corkscrew section, ive never shot there or even been there for that matter but i always love seeing shots of anything comin over the crest of the corkscrew. Maybe from 1 as well, cresting the finish line hill you could probably get some nice straight on stuff

There are many great shooting locations on both sides of the fences. Basically, every corner works if you have credentials. Without creds you are good as well, but there are a few places (like the exit of turn 2) where you will find yourself shooting through the photo cut-outs and if a pro needs the shot they will block your view. Turn 8/8a (the Corkscrew) makes for some great shots. My personal favorite locations are at the exit of turn 3 by the tire bridge and outside turn 6 by the campground.
