Hockey - First outing with 40D

Hey Gang,

Here's a couple from the first outing with the 40D. Just a quick crop and quick fix PP.

I have many to go thru, but so far so good. I'm really liking the ability to use high ISO.

Nice shots! Shots I'd like to be able to do when I get my 7-200mm f/2.8L next week...oh ok maybe that's wishful thinking on my part (I'm a beginner).

Mind if I ask what settings you used? They look great. Did you shoot from the bench?

Yes, shot from the sin bin.
settings were
Av - f3.5
Tv - 1/400
ISO - 1250
