Lawrie: Lovely pics of the hoverfly - #1 and 2 are lovely shots, #3 I think would have been better if you could have got a little closer.
Good colours too.

Thanks for the kind words, I agree with the last shot but I am unable to move too quickly, so the head on was from where I was positioned

Really nice shots Lawrie been a few weeks since I've seen any hovers keep posting them :D
