All of these photos were taken with my Canon G3. I love this camera's macro/close-up capability:

(1) False Spirea buds

(2) White Crocus

(3) Unknown blue flowers (can you identify them?):

(4) Grape Hyacinth:

(5) Unknown (hyacinth perhaps?):

(6) Pretty white flowers (can you identify what flowers these are?):

I'd appreciate it if anybody can identify the unnamed flowers above.

Thanks.

Nice shots! #6 looks like an apple blossom, but I'm the LAST person you should accept a flower ID from!

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the comment. I looked up pictures of Apple Blossoms but I am pretty sure that's not what my last shot (#6) was.

Anyone else wanna take a stab at IDing my unknown plant/flower macros?

Thanks.

I can see why. You did a great job with these shots. That first flower is one I have not seen before. Very interesting, and beautiful plant.

Nice! I too have a G3 and love taking macro's with it... well that is macro's of non-moving objects. Otherwise I find it way too difficult.
I prefer your first three. I played a bit with #1 in PS and liked the result I got by tightly cropping around the bud (to get rid of the empty left side and red/green bootom-right) and decrease saturation to about -25.
Fortunately, our G3 has enough pixels to allow some firm cropping on macro's... at least if your are happy with viewing your photo's on screen and don't care about large prints.

Anyway, have fun with macros.
