Hiya folks.

I originally posted these images in the Nature and Animals forum, but it was suggested that I post them here instead. In hindsight, this probably would have been the ideal place to initially post these.

At any rate, here are two images that I'm sure could be improved upon. I was hoping to sort of get an abstract look to these, but don't think I really hit that mark. Any comments and/or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Welcome over to macro John, #1 is a little difficult to see quite what it is. #2 is the better but shooting down onto it may have been a better option due to the narrow DOF you would have gotten more in focus on a level plane.

Nice shots, The second one is greta. Fantastic colours.

Did you use additional close up lens?

Can you write the exif?

Bye

Hi, Nymphalidae.

The EXIF is intact with the image, but the essentails are as follows:

f/5 - 1/250 sec - ISO-100 - 100mm macro. I just got as close to the flower as possible, right up at the minimum focus distance for the lens. Thankfully, the flower itself was about 3-4 inches in diameter, so it wasn't all that small.

Thank you for your comments.
