Made our now annual pilgrimage to the Tempest Rally again today.

Here are a few shots I've quickly resized, got few hundred to get through and I'll do a gallery in a bit.

Kit used for these is 40D + Sigma 120-300f2.8 and Sigma 70-200f2.8

We had a great day, rallies are awesome, we need more down here! Got lucky with a couple of corner, some good action, just going through my pics :) Got a feeling we may have quite a few posts from this event ;)

How'd you find flashing in the dark? Not something I have much experience with ;)

Great shots Dave, love #1 the yellow mkII. The mkII is still the best looking car in rallying even after all these years. Hope the gallon of beer is going down well :lol:

Good stuff Dave. The mk II and Datsun are very nice. My dad had an Avenger when he was in the CID. I would only be 2 or 3 years old, but I can still remember it. Lovelly shade of bright orange it was! Not very inconspicuous for his job then!! LOL.

Haha! Hi by the way :) You don't need 500mm, "playing with a wide angle" is much more fun...

I'm more into wildlife shooting - but hey if you can point a lens at it its always good fun!!!:lol:

The Sunseeker is a round of the Gravel Rally Championship and takes place in Bournemouth usually at the end of February.
