CF Fat Format Problem

I bought a Canon A40 and a 128MB CF card several month ago. I formatted my 128 MB CF card in Win XP using FAT format. When I tried to load pictures from the PC to my CF card using a Belkin CF writer, I can only use 40 MB space of CF card. If I formatted the card in FAT32, I can use all 1280 MB, but then my camera will not able to read it. Has anyone see this kind of problem before?

You might check your camera manual. Many CF formatting problems can be solved by using the camera to format the CF card. I think that you should try this.
