hi all,
i'm not sure if this is a known problem or not but most of my images shot using my D30 are usually 'underexposed'. when i look at the histogram, i could easily afford another 2/3 - 1 stop most of the time.
is this normal? does it happen to the D60 and 10D as well?
just curious...
thanks again.

I happens all the time with flash but rarely with ambient light. Could you have some type of exposure override enabled? Have a look though your set up and see if there's anything wonky going on.

My D60 tends to be 1/2 to 1 stop under also (without flash).

We use exposure compensation to adjust for diferent lighting conditions that can trick or otherwise muddle up a cameras built in meter..
I find my MkII LOVES to underexpose.. where as my 10D at 1/3 the cost can be left at top dead center exposure about 90% of the time.

the underexposed thingy seems to happen even without flash.
i guess i just have to dial-in the exposure compensation then.
cheers!
