I was just wondering if anybody else has used MPix.com's metallic paper for printing sports photos? I printed out my brothers Football team photo and found it came out very nice. Quite a different look. I was just looking for other opinions.
Thanks,
Doc

I've used it for family portraits, not for sports photography. The clients liked the look quite a lot.

I've used it for landscape shots a couple of time IIRC. I think it looks nice when used with the right shot.

I'm curious, what type of paper is it? Or what is it that they do differently to it?
I've heard many people say they were quite pleased with it.

For some reason I always go straight for the metallic when ordering prints bigger than 4x6 album shots....great look!
The paper has a ....well.....metallic look is the best way to describe it lol. But just enough to not be annoyingly metallic. ....anyway, give it a try!

I used it for large print of a custom candy apple red 53 Lincoln. Not MPix but from a local lab. The car owners really loved it. With the chrome and the matallic paint it really stood out.

You can order a sample from MPIX and see for yourself.

I love the stuff and use it on almost everything. The one type of image I do not use it on is a portrait like a head and shoulders shot where the face is a majority of the image.
I've got some architecture shots, some at night, some at sundown, that are my best sellers for images that are not relavent to the client, i.e. it's not a picture of them or their family members. I honestly believe that what sells these images is the metallic. I was picking out a mat color at a local art store where I was holding different mats up to one of the prints that was to hang in my house and a customer of the art store bought the print off me on the spot! Gotta love that.

I just got an 8X10 of my daughters volleyball team tonight from MPIX on this paper and the colors are fantastic, they have an almost 3-D look to them . I would highly recommend this .
