Hi i bought a canon i9900 after installing the print head and the ink i hear this tumbling sound when it passes through the middle of the printer kinda like if its scratching the sides i would like to know if this is normal anyone has a i9900 here please let me know? :D

Does it make that sound every time the head goes from one side to the other or only when it 's startig up. I don't recall my i9900 ever making that sound. My printer is very quiet.
Did you double check to make sure you have removed all the shipping tapes that' was strapped all over the printer? The instruction booklet should point out each and every one of them.

Yeah i remove everything, the sound is kinda like tumbling kinda loud in the middle, i barely install it and it made a lot of nise when i printed the head alignment, i think it was damage during shipment

Why goof with it. Take it back and get a replacement. BTW, this is the BEST printer I have ever owned for printing didigtal images. Hands down!

Mine is perfectly quiet...I'd sure take it back if it wasn't.

yeah im going to return it thanks i knew that noise wasnt part of it, i have previously own canon and always it has been quiet, by the way i got a PIXMA ip4000 its excellent for letter size printing. :wink:
