I posted a B&W of some columns last week, I had a chance to revisit that building this weekend. The pictures were taken about 2:30pm this afternoon, a little late but I was tied up.

First, I'd appreciate some feedback on this shot:

Here is a larger shot of the actual building, I position the car on the far left. Is there a better location that I could position the car? Secondly, how should I go about trying to get a picture of the building by itself? I'm kinda limited with my kit lens, but every time I walk by on my way to class I can't stop thinking about how cool it looks.

Any help would be appreciated!

Why don't you try it closer to where the second picture was taken? Just have the whole building in the background. Maybe pull up in the grass if no one is around?

#1 is very nice, but #2 seems to be at the wrong time of day to get light on this building.
Was thre a polarizing filter in use with #2 - something has created a very strong gradient across the sky?

There was a CP on when I took #2.
The second picture was just to get some ideas on how to shoot the building, or where might be a better place to put the car.
