I got a card reader when i brought my 300d.

It says compact flash hardware support on the box, for pnp for CF memory card.
Great.

I have a cd with the software that i have installed (So it tells me)
So i plug the ca\rd reader into my usb port, light come on on the card reader.
Put the CF card in fine, nothing happens?

Do i need to go in to the zoom browser program?
Ive done this and cant seem to get to the mages on the card or even see how im surposed to.

Any ideas?

When You insert the compact flash into the reader You should see a new drive in Your windows explorer, browse to it and copy the files to Your harddrive.

Are you running Windows? If so, which version?

Are you conecting through a USB hub or a USB port on your PC?

Are you getting the little balloon that says 'New hardware detected' when you plug the CF card reader in?

If you have all of your drives mapped, you may need to make sure there is one drive unmapped. I have this problem when my E: drive is mapped because the reader seems to want to use the E: drive.

when in doubt try the reboot option too :)
