A couple of Herring Gull shots from the Island outing on Saturday. It was a darkish, raw day. I have been trying to calibrate my monitor and I'm anxious to get feed back about how dark or light the pictures appear on your monitors.

Wow Dan that first shot is great! the second is dark but most of mine turned out that way so I dont think I'd fault the monitor. Well done !

Thanks, Shirley! I didn't get many good shots but did manage a few. I think I'll leave the monitor adjustment as is for now and see what feed back i get over the next little while.

The first shot seems sharper, and better overall. Both of them seem just a tad dark to me though, but my monitor is not calibrated and an LCD to boot. How are you calibrating yours?

I like the shots but I agree they could be a bit Brighter

Gee those look very similar to the shots I got on Saturday.
They do appear a little dark. Pehaps not as dark as some of your other posts.
How do these charts look on your monitor... http://www.sonnys.ca/viewing.htm

I have darkened my monitor, hopefully with result that my pictures will be brighter after PP.
I can easily see all 21 shades on your chart but the left hand square of the three squares, seems to blend in slightly more than the others so I think I will darken my monitor some more (although not a lot more).
